Aston Martin is preparing to release new V12 engine

Representatives of the company Aston Martin have confirmed the information about the development of the new twin-turbo V12 engine with the volume of 5.2 liters. It is assumed that this power unit will be used in the model DB11, which soon will replace the DB9 coupe. To confirm this information, British brand has published a short video announcing the imminent appearance of a new powerful engine on the market.

It is worth noting that officials do not comment existing rumors that the latest power train is intended primarily for the model DB11. Nevertheless, purely logical conclusions and spy photos apart, this fact is confirmed by the spy photos of the new coupe prototype. On the pictures you can realize the nameplates with the indication of working volume – 5200 cubic centimeters.

According to experts, the new V12 can surpass motor AM29, fitted to the Aston Martin Vanquish, which means that in its top versions it can generate about 600 horsepower. Thus, the unit will be announced the most powerful engine in the Aston Martin range, it is second only to engines installed to the exclusive models One-77 and Vulcan.
