Aston Martin refused the Mercedes chassis for the new crossover

The company Aston Martin is not planning to use for their future crossover the chassis of Daimler group, with whom the British manufacturer signed a partnership agreement. This was reported by Automotive News, citing the head of Aston Martin Andy Palmer.

Initially it was assumed that the basis of the new Aston Martin will form a platform Mercedes-Benz GLC (as will be called the successor GLK). However, according to Palmer, the chassis of the German company’s is athletic enough but British crossover nature must be more than a sports car than an SUV.
