The great company of sports and powerful cars Aston Martin has decided to cease the production of the supercar Virage. This information is said to be coming from the automakers themselves. On the assembly line this great Virage model lasted for about of eighteen months, during which a little more than a thousand cars were collected.

According to preliminary information Virage DB9 supercar will be replaced by a newer generation model. In Aston Martin it was thought that if in the line there are two models at the same time the number of customers who want to buy the luxury supercar Virage instead of the less expensive DB9, will be too small and as a result both of the proposed models can “fail” in sales. Coupe and convertible Aston Martin Virage were presented in February last year. The model is equipped with a twelve-engine with the total power output of 490 hp and 6-speed automatic transmission Touchtronic II. The coupe accelerates from zero to 100 km / h in just 4.5 seconds and has a top speed of 250 km / h. The current DB9 is equipped with 470-horsepower engine and is able to recruit the first “hundred” in 4.6 seconds. The new generation model will become more powerful. Price in the UK is expected to grow from 128,000 to about 150,000 pounds.
