Aston Martin will revive iconic DB4 GT

Following Jaguar manufacturer, Aston Martin plans to release a modern version of one of its iconic classic cars. We are talking about the original DB4 GT which had been produced from 1959 to 1963. The model was released in a limited edition of 75 units. Price of each of them was £ 5 000.

New modern version of exclusive DB4 GT will be released in edition of only 25 units. Each of the copies will receive a special VIN-number, like a classics car of 1963 model year. The cars will be more expensive then before, and will be sold at the price of £ 1.5 million. All cars will be assembled by hand at the factory Aston Martin Works in Newport Pagnell, and supplies of the classic novelty will start in the third quarter of 2017.

Modern Aston Martin DB4 GT will be built “from scratch” and will be based on DB11. That’s why new model will slightly differ from the original, and will receive a few modern elements, including a roll cage, fire extinguisher and seat belts. The vehicle weight will be 1227 kg. As for the power plant, the car will be equipped with 6-cylinder in-line engine providing 331 hp (246 kW), which will work in tandem with the 4-speed manual transmission.
